The upcoming 2023 Kia Seltos facelift has been generating buzz in the automobile industry, and for good reason. The midsize SUV is set to offer several upgrades and improvements that make it a worthy contender in its class. One of the most exciting updates is the panoramic sunroof, which replaces the single-pane sunroof on the current model.

Competing with Top SUVs in its Class
With the addition of the panoramic sunroof, the 2023 Kia Seltos facelift will be able to rival its competitors in the midsize SUV market, including the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Volkswagen Taigun. This improvement also places it on par with other SUVs that have already been offering panoramic sunroofs for some time.
Sleek and Modern Design
Apart from the panoramic sunroof, the 2023 Kia Seltos facelift also comes with a redesigned grille, new headlamps, and a new set of alloy wheels. The LED daytime running lamps have also been repositioned slightly lower than before and are integrated into the grille. At the back, the tail-lamps have been replaced with a new set joined together by an LED light bar, which also houses the Kia badge.

A Variety of Advanced Features
The Seltos facelift will also be the first Kia in India to offer Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a suite of safety features that will enhance the overall driving experience. The midsize SUV will come with six airbags, hill-assist control, vehicle stability management, parking sensors and camera, and two 10.25-inch displays. The infotainment system and instrument cluster each have a dedicated display. Automatic gearbox-equipped versions of the Seltos facelift will also come with a rotary drive selector, which replaces the conventional lever.
Improved Performance and Engine Options
The Seltos facelift will retain its current 1.5-liter petrol engine, which produces 115 horsepower and 144 Nm of torque, as well as its 1.5-liter turbo-diesel engine, which generates 116 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. However, Kia is also expected to introduce a new 160hp, 253Nm, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, which is a step up from the previous 140hp, 242Nm, 1.4-litre mill. The turbo-petrol engine will come with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and a 6-speed iMT.
A Worthy Competitor in the Market
When it is launched in India in July 2023, the Seltos facelift will continue to compete with other SUVs in its class, including the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, MG Astor, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Honda Elevate, and Citroen C3 Aircross. With its improved features and capabilities, it is sure to be a worthy contender.
