2023 Skoda Kodiaq 4×4 SUV has launched in India at Rs 37.99 lakh

Skoda Auto India has launched the 2023 Kodiaq 4×4 SUV, now BS6 phase 2 compliant, with an increased allocation of 3,000 units for 2023. The SUV is offered in three trim levels and priced at Rs 37.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Let’s take a closer look at what this luxury off-road vehicle has to offer.

Powerful Engine with Improved Efficiency

The Skoda Kodiaq is propelled by a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine that generates 190bhp and 320Nm of torque. The engine has been adapted to meet the new BS6 phase 2 norms, making it 4.2% more efficient than before. It is mated to a 7-speed DSG and can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in just 7.8 seconds. The SUV is equipped with a 4×4 system and Dynamic Chassis Control that enables the car to be raised or lowered by 15mm.

Variety of Trims and Features

The 2023 Skoda Kodiaq comes in three different trim levels: Style, Sportline, and Laurin & Klement (L&K). The base Style trim comes with an 8-inch instrument cluster, while the higher trims get a larger 10.25-inch instrument display. The 8.0-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is standard across all trims. Additionally, the top-spec L&K trim comes with a Canton 12-speaker audio system, offering a premium audio experience.

Improved Safety Features

The Skoda Kodiaq has a 5-star Euro NCAP crash safety rating and comes with 9 airbags as standard. Other safety features include stability control, multi-collision braking, and park assist with hands-free parking. The top-of-the-line L&K trim also includes a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and a 360-degree camera.

Increased Allocation for More SUV Customers

According to Petr Solc, the Brand Director of Skoda Auto India, the Kodiaq has been a huge success both internationally and in India. With the increased allocation of 3,000 units for 2023, compared to 1,200 units last year, more SUV customers in India can now enjoy the complete off-road luxury package the Kodiaq offers for the family. Solc further added that the Kodiaq is a premium, high-value luxury 4×4 that delivers safety, luxury, value, and off-road ability, all in one package.

Final Thoughts

The 2023 Skoda Kodiaq is a luxurious 4×4 SUV with impressive features and safety ratings. The increased allocation of 3,000 units for 2023 will allow more SUV customers in India to experience the complete off-road luxury package that the Kodiaq offers. With its powerful engine, improved efficiency, and a variety of trims and features, the Skoda Kodiaq is a luxury SUV worth considering.
