Launched in July 2023, the Exter, Hyundai’s entry-level model, has become a sensation. Priced between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 10.15 lakh (ex-showroom), it has already amassed close to 100,000 bookings, contributing significantly to Hyundai’s festive season sales momentum.
Ioniq 5: The Electric Marvel
Introduced at the Auto Expo in January 2023, the Ioniq 5 stands tall as Hyundai’s premium electric flagship. Priced at Rs 45.95 lakh (ex-showroom), this fully-loaded variant showcases Hyundai’s commitment to innovation and sustainable driving.
Digital Transformation Boosts Exter's Success
Unsoo Kim highlighted Hyundai’s focus on digital transformations and industry 4.0 automation at their Sriperumbudur production facility. This initiative has not only enhanced capacity and production optimization but has also paved the way for achieving an ambitious annual production capacity of 1,000,000 units by 2025.

Kim shared Hyundai Motor India’s strategic plan, emphasizing capacity optimization in Sriperumbudur and the addition of the upcoming Talegaon plant, scheduled to commence production in 2025.

Prioritizing safety, Hyundai has standardized critical features across its entire lineup, including 3-point seatbelts and seatbelt reminders for all seats. Notably, six airbags are now standard across all variants, challenging industry norms.

Hyundai is setting the bar higher by planning to equip its entire lineup with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) within the next three years. Currently available in five vehicles, including the Venue, Venue N-Line, Verna, Tucson, and Ioniq 5, ADAS technology exemplifies Hyundai’s commitment to cutting-edge innovation.
