Hyundai, the renowned automaker, has officially unveiled the facelifted version of its popular Tucson SUV, and excitingly, it’s slated to make its way to the Indian market next year. Let’s delve into the key updates and enhancements that come with the refreshed Tucson.
1. Refined Styling Tweaks
The refreshed Tucson boasts subtle yet impactful styling tweaks, both inside and out. Hyundai aims to elevate the SUV’s visual appeal, aligning it with the brand’s cutting-edge Parametric Dynamics design language. For the Indian market, the Tucson currently offers a 2.0-litre petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. The petrol variant, a four-cylinder naturally aspirated unit, generates 156hp and 192Nm of torque, coupled with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. However, with the introduction of a 1.5-litre, 160hp turbo-petrol engine in the Alcazar, it remains to be seen if Hyundai continues to provide this option for the Tucson facelift in India.
On the diesel front, the 2.0-litre engine produces 186hp and 416Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Notably, the top diesel variant offers AWD with multi-terrain modes (Snow, Mud, and Sand) as an optional feature, enhancing its off-road capabilities.
