BMW has recently introduced the XM Label Red, the most powerful car produced by the company’s M division. This powerful car packs a twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V8 and electric motor that combine for up to 748hp and 1,000Nm, delivering 95hp and 200Nm more than the standard BMW XM. With such impressive power, the XM Label Red has become the talk of the town, offering an unmatched driving experience that other luxury SUVs can only dream of.
Let's take a closer look at what makes the BMW XM Label Red such an extraordinary vehicle.

Powertrain and Performance
The BMW XM Label Red comes with a 25.7kWh battery and a 197hp, 280Nm electric motor, which are largely unchanged from the standard XM. However, a new pre-gearing stage patented by BMW has boosted the motor’s torque output (to the gearbox) to a maximum of 450Nm. It is not clear whether this feature is available at all times or if it is restricted to the launch-control setting.

The petrol engine alone now produces 585hp and 750Nm, a significant increase from the usual 490hp. Together with the electric motor, the XM Label Red can accelerate from 0-100kph in just 3.8 seconds, half a second faster than the standard XM. The top speed of the car is 290kph in cars fitted with the optional M Driver’s Package, or 250kph without it. When in EV mode, the car is limited to 140kph.

The vehicle’s power is distributed to both the front and rear axles, and the amount of power sent to each axle is adjusted as needed by an electronic multi-plate clutch. In 4WD Sport mode, more power is directed to the rear wheels to simulate the distinctive rear-wheel-drive handling characteristics of the M model.

BMW XM Label Red Exterior and Interior
The BMW XM Label Red’s exterior design amplifies the XM’s “on-stage/backstage” ethos. The front grille and side windows feature Toronto Red accents, while black is an optional color. The vehicle’s interior has red and black accents and includes front leather bucket seats and a rear M Lounge bench with a separate infotainment screen, tablet holders, and USB-C ports.

The XM Label Red’s interior remains unchanged, with ambient lighting, four-zone climate control, and a Harmon Kardon sound system as standard equipment. The optional 1475W Bowers & Wilkins hi-fi adds to the luxury of the car.

Is BMW XM Label Red Coming to India?
Since the BMW XM is already on sale in India, the XM Label Red could also make its way to Indian shores. Priced at Rs 2.6 crore, the Label Red may be available in limited numbers and at a slightly higher price than the standard XM. The Label Red is set to make its debut at the Shanghai motor show, and BMW has acknowledged that China, alongside the US and the Middle East, is a key market for the XM.
If BMW chooses to introduce the XM Label Red in India, it will be in competition with other high-end SUVs such as the Lamborghini Urus, Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, and Aston Martin DBX 707.

The BMW XM Label Red is an extraordinary vehicle that sets new standards in the luxury SUV market. With its powerful engine and electric motor, the car offers a thrilling driving experience, while its luxurious interior and advanced technology provide ultimate comfort and convenience. If you’re a fan of luxury cars and looking for the best of both worlds in terms of power and comfort, the BMW XM Label Red is undoubtedly worth considering.
