Hyundai has officially revealed the Hyundai Exter and has opened bookings for the micro-SUV. The new car features an SUV-inspired design with striking LED DRL and projector headlamps on the bumper. Hyundai Exter: The New Micro-SUV Ready to Take on the Tata Punch

The Hyundai Exter will be launched in five different trims – EX, S, SX, SX(O), and SX(O) Connect. Bookings for the new micro-SUV are now open, and it can be booked for a token amount of Rs. 11,000.

The Hyundai Exter has been designed to compete against the variants of Tata Punch, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite. The expected ex-showroom price of the Hyundai Exter in India is between Rs. 6 lakh and Rs. 9.5 lakh.

Hyundai Exter Engine & Transmission

The Hyundai Exter is powered by a 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine that produces 83 PS of maximum power and 113.8 Nm of peak torque. This engine is also found in the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and the Hyundai Aura. The car is equipped with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT). The car also offers a bi-fuel option (petrol + CNG) with a 5-speed manual. The much-awaited 1.0-litre turbo engine is not on the list yet, but Hyundai might introduce an N-Line version with this engine.
