Citroen C3 Shine: Top-Spec Variant launched at Rs 7.60 lakh

Citroen India has unveiled the latest addition to its C3 hatchback lineup – the Shine variant. The C3 Shine, priced at Rs 7.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), comes with a 1.2-litre petrol engine and a range of features that were missing in the Live and Feel trims.

Introducing the Citroen C3 Shine: A Top-Spec Variant with Host of Features

Let's dive into the details of the new C3 Shine trim, which is expected to be a game-changer in the segment.

Citroen C3 Shine Features

The C3 Shine boasts several features that make it stand out from its competitors. The rear parking camera, rear wiper-washer, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, front fog lamps, and alloy wheels come as standard in the new top-spec variant. Additionally, the C3 Shine also features the My Citroen Connect app with around 35 connectivity features.

Citroen C3 Shine powertrains

Under the hood, the C3 Shine is powered by an 82hp, 115Nm, 1.2-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. With the addition of these new features, the C3 Shine has become a more serious contender in the segment.

Turbocharged Petrol Engine and Electric C3

Sources suggest that the C3 Shine with the turbo-petrol engine will come with additional safety features like electronic stability control, hill hold assist, and tyre pressure monitoring system. The 110PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox is expected to be introduced later in the top-end variant. Furthermore, the electric C3 is also expected to receive the Shine trim soon.

Citroen C3 Shine Pricing

The C3 Shine comes in eight different variants, each with its own price tag:

  • Feel – Rs 7.08 lakh
  • Feel Vibe Pack – Rs 7.23 lakh
  • Feel Dual Tone – Rs 7.23 lakh
  • Feel Dual Tone Vibe Pack – Rs 7.38 lakh
  • Shine – Rs 7.6 lakh
  • Shine Vibe Pack – Rs 7.72 lakh
  • Shine Dual Tone – Rs 7.75 lakh
  • Shine Dual Tone Vibe Pack – Rs 7.87 lakh

For the extra cost, the C3 Shine offers rear wash and wiper with defogger, rear skid plates, 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, a parking camera, day/night rearview mirror, front fog lamps, and connected car tech.

Citroen C3 rivals

Despite still lacking in some features, the updates make the C3 a better all-rounder compared to its competitors like the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Maruti Swift, and Tata Punch. The C3 Shine is in competition with the Tata Punch, Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite that are equipped with a manual gearbox.

In conclusion, the C3 Shine is a remarkable offering by Citroen India, providing customers with an array of features and improved performance, making it a serious contender in the segment.
