The Lamborghini Urus S is scheduled to be launched in India on April 13th.
Design and Performance Upgrades
The Urus S has taken design inspiration from the Urus Performante, a performance-focused SUV launched last year, and has been upgraded to offer more luxury features. It comes with a wider range of colours, wheels, trims, and customization options. The exterior design features reworked bumpers, new wheel arches, a carbon-fibre hood, a vented bonnet with carbon-fibre treatment, and quad exhaust outlets at the back. It also offers a wider range of colour schemes, wheels, trim, style packages, and customization options.
Under the hood, the Urus S will feature a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, similar to that used in the Urus Performante, with a maximum power output of 666bhp and peak torque of 850Nm. It will come equipped with the same adaptive air suspension as the Performante, with sporty fixed coil springs in place of air suspension for the performance-focused model. In addition to the regular driving modes – Strada, Sport, and Corsa – the Urus S will come equipped with three off-road modes – Terra, Neve, and Sabbia. It will be paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and is capable of reaching 0 to 100km/h in just 3.5 seconds, with a top speed of 305km/h.
Luxurious Interior and Advanced Connectivity Services
The interior of the Urus S boasts a two-toned theme with contrast stitching and trim inserts, leather surfaces, and advanced connectivity services like state-of-the-art navigation, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The car also comes with security features and in-car control services like remote parking using a Lamborghini Unica app.
Price Range and Availability
The Urus S is expected to be priced between Rs 3.5 Crore and Rs 4 Crore (ex-showroom) in India. After the launch of the Urus S, the Urus line-up will comprise two models – the Urus S and the Urus Performante. The Lamborghini Urus has been the best-selling SUV in India, with 200 units sold in 2022 alone, and the company expects the Urus S to perform even better.
Conclusion
The launch of the Lamborghini Urus S in India is set to create ripples in the luxury SUV market. With its upgraded design and performance features, luxurious interiors, and advanced connectivity services, the Urus S is set to take the market by storm. The availability of both regular driving and off-road modes will make it appealing to a wide range of customers, and the performance-focused model will be a hit with sports car enthusiasts. With the launch just around the corner, it remains to be seen how the Urus S will perform in the highly competitive Indian market.
