
Maruti Suzuki India has yet again proven its dominance in the Indian automobile industry by selling over 1.60 lakh units in April 2023. The sales figures for this year surpassed the same period in 2022, with an increase of 12,724 units sold. Here are the highlights of Maruti Suzuki’s April 2023 sales report.
Domestic Sales
Out of the total units sold, Maruti Suzuki’s domestic sales reached an impressive 139,519 units. The mini segment, including Alto and S-Presso, and the compact segment, including Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, Tour S, and WagonR, made up the majority of the domestic sales with a total of 89,045 units sold. Meanwhile, the mid-size passenger car Ciaz sold 1,017 units.
Utility Vehicles and Vans
Maruti Suzuki’s utility vehicle sales for April 2023 were 36,754 units, with Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, S-Cross, XL6, and Grand Vitara contributing to the total number. Van sales, on the other hand, reached 10,504 units.

Export Sales
Aside from domestic sales, Maruti Suzuki also exported 16,971 units to other countries, making it a total of 143,558 units sold domestically and internationally.
Production Issues
Maruti Suzuki faced production issues in April 2023 due to a shortage of electronic components, which affected the production of vehicles. However, the company took necessary actions to reduce the impact of the shortage on their production line.

Maruti Suzuki India continues to be a leading brand in the automobile industry, with impressive sales figures to show for their efforts. Despite facing challenges in production, the company has taken necessary measures to reduce the impact and maintain its position as a top player in the industry.
