MG Motor India has recently announced the prices of all variants of its latest electric car, the MG Comet EV. The Comet EV comes in three different variants with prices starting at Rs 7.98 lakh (ex-showroom). The car has a lot to offer, from impressive features to a unique MG e-Shield ownership package. Variant-Wise Prices
The MG Comet EV can be purchased in three different models, namely Pace, Play, and Plush. Below are the prices for each variant (ex-showroom):
Pace: Rs 7.98 lakh
Play: Rs 9.28 lakh
Plush: Rs 9.98 lakh
It’s worth noting that these prices are only applicable for the first 5,000 bookings. So, if you’re interested in buying the MG Comet EV, it’s better to book your car as soon as possible.

Assured Buyback Program

The MG Comet EV is equipped with a guaranteed buyback program that enables customers to surrender the electric car after three years and receive 60% of the original ex-showroom price. This program offers a great way to secure your investment and ensures a hassle-free experience.
MG e-Shield Ownership Package

The MG Comet EV boasts a distinctive characteristic in the form of the MG e-Shield ownership package, which encompasses all maintenance and repair expenses. The 3-3-3-8 package offers the following:
3 years or 1,00,000km warranty
3 years roadside assistance
3 free labour services – First 3 scheduled services
8 years or 1,20,000km battery warranty
Extended Warranty and Service Packages
MG Comet EV owners can choose from 80+ extended warranty and service packages starting at Rs 5,000. This offers additional peace of mind to customers, knowing that their car is covered for any unforeseen issues.
Low Charging Cost
According to MG, the charging expense for the Comet EV may be as little as Rs 519 per 1,000km. This makes the car a cost-effective option for those looking to switch to electric vehicles.
Impressive Features
The MG Comet EV is packed with features, making it an attractive option for buyers. The vehicle features LED headlamps and taillamps, a lit-up MG logo at the front, front and rear connecting lights, LED turn indicators on the outside rear view mirrors (ORVMs), and 12-inch wheels. The interior features include leather-wrapped steering wheel, fabric seat upholstery, and 50:50 rear split seats. The car’s interior is packed with an array of high-tech features, including a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system, both of which are compatible with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Other features include a two-spoke multi-function steering wheel, front power windows, a one-touch slide and recline passenger seat to facilitate second-row entry, keyless entry, tilt steering, and manual air conditioning. In addition, the i-Smart technology provides more than 55 features.

Performance and Dimensions
The MG Comet EV is based on the BICO (big inside and compact outside) concept and is packed with 42PS/110Nm permanent magnet synchronous motor with a 17.3kWh lithium-ion battery. The claimed range on a single full charge is 230km (ARAI), and the battery charging time is 7 hours for 0-100% and 5 hours for 10-80% using a 3.3kW charger. The car has three drive and three regen modes. The MG Comet EV is 2,974mm in length, 1,505mm in width, and 1,640mm in height, with a 2,010mm long wheelbase.
Safety Features
The SAIC-GM-Wuling’s Global Small Electric Vehicle (GSEV) platform serves as the foundation for the MG Comet EV, which boasts a high-strength body comprised of 17 hot stamping panels. The vehicle’s battery is rated IP67, rendering it impervious to water and dust. The Comet EV is also equipped with a variety of crucial safety features, including dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, a reverse parking camera, rear parking sensors, an indirect tyre pressure monitoring system, three-point seat belts for all passengers, ISOFIX rear child seat anchors, and impact sensing door unlock.
