Skoda, the Czech automaker, has unveiled its ambitious plan to introduce as many as six new all-electric vehicles by 2026. The company’s CEO, Klaus Zellmer, announced the Let’s Explore plan, which includes an affordable small EV, a wagon, an MPV, and two SUVs.

Here is what you need to know about Skoda's electrification strategy.
Skoda's Plan for EVs
Skoda is planning to roll out six all-electric models across all segments by 2026. The first upcoming BEV vehicle, the Elroq, will be launched in 2024 and will replace the Karoq. It will be a compact SUV, measuring around 4.5 meters in length, and will expand Skoda’s model portfolio in the SUV segment.

In 2025, Skoda will enter the affordable global small EV market with a target price of €25,000 (around Rs 22.5 lakh). This entry-level model will be priced to make electric mobility affordable and will be produced at a Volkswagen Group Plant in Spain. It will offer a luggage capacity similar to the Scala and measure around 4.1 meters in length.

Apart from the Elroq and the entry-level EV, Skoda plans to introduce two more SUVs, a wagon, and an MPV. The Combi wagon will be introduced in 2026 and will be the brand’s first all-electric estate car. The MPV, called Space, will be the largest of Skoda’s future BEVs, measuring around 4.9 meters in length.
Enyaq EV Line-up Update
Skoda has announced plans to update its Enyaq family of SUVs by 2025. The Enyaq and Enyaq Coupé models will incorporate the new Modern Solid design language, which was initially presented on the Vision 7S. The Enyaq iV models were the first cars based on the Modular Electrification Platform (MEB) of the Volkswagen Group and have been symbolic of Skoda’s new era of electric mobility since their launch in 2020.

ICE-Powered New Kodiaq and Superb
Skoda will continue to offer internal combustion engines and plug-in hybrid powertrains. The company plans to reveal the ICE-powered new Kodiaq and Superb later this year. Skoda is set to have the most diverse lineup in its history, thanks to the upcoming new generations of the Superb and Kodiaq, refreshed Octavia, Kamiq, and Scala models, as well as the introduction of new BEV models.

Skoda's Let's Explore Plan
Skoda’s Let’s Explore initiative now features a comprehensive lineup of all-electric vehicles. According to Zellmer, Skoda Auto aims to accelerate the shift towards sustainable, electric personal transportation with six new all-electric models spanning all vehicle segments to be released by 2026. Alongside these new models, Skoda Auto also offers a range of highly efficient conventional and hybrid-powered vehicles, catering to the needs of both current and prospective customers worldwide during this transition period.
