Tata Safari Facelift: Discover the Redesigned Exterior and Enhanced Features

The eagerly anticipated Tata Safari, the flagship SUV from Tata Motors, is set to undergo a remarkable transformation with significant upgrades to its exterior design and drivetrain. Recently, spy shots of test mules have been circulating online, providing enthusiasts with a glimpse of what the 2023 Tata Safari facelift might look like. In this article, we’ll explore the rendering based on those spy shots, highlighting the expected changes and improvements to the upcoming iteration of the Safari.

A Refreshed Front Fascia:

The rendered video by Bagrawala Designs reveals that the forthcoming Tata Safari will receive a comprehensive front-end upgrade, featuring a completely redesigned fascia. Departing from the rounded front of the outgoing model, the render presents a more squarish appearance for the SUV’s front. The overall theme remains intact, with split LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and a projector headlamp setup. However, the headlights will now adopt a vertically stacked arrangement, likely incorporating LEDs instead of the previous projector setup.

An Innovative Illuminated Tata Logo:

One notable design detail showcased in the rendering is the illuminated Tata logo that spans the entire front and seamlessly merges into the LED DRLs. While this striking design element captivates the imagination, it remains uncertain if the production version will include it. It is more probable that the company will not adopt this design, as it deviates from the current Tata branding. However, we eagerly await the official unveiling to confirm the final design details.

Unchanged Side Profile and Rear:

Upon examining the rendered Safari’s side profile, no significant changes can be observed, suggesting that it will largely resemble the outgoing model in this aspect. Similarly, the rear is expected to feature a revised rear bumper in the production version, while overall retaining the design language of the current model.

Enhanced Interior and Infotainment System:

Although the rendered video does not provide a glimpse of the 2023 Safari’s interior, it is anticipated that the dashboard will undergo a design update, accompanied by the introduction of a new and improved infotainment system. Notably, a recent test mule of the Safari facelift featured a new sensor positioned behind the inside rearview mirror (IRVM) and windshield. This sensor is believed to be part of the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) of the upcoming Tata Safari facelift. While the current ADAS available in the Tata Safari and Harrier Dark Red Edition has been deemed unsatisfactory, it is expected to receive significant enhancements with the integration of this additional sensor.

Powertrain Possibilities:

In terms of powertrain options, the next Tata Safari facelift could introduce a new 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine, generating an impressive 168bhp of peak power and 280Nm of peak torque. This engine was previously showcased by the automaker at the 2023 Auto Expo. Furthermore, Tata’s flagship SUV is anticipated to retain the option of the 2.0-liter Kyrotec diesel engine, which produces 170 PS and 350 Nm of torque. This engine can be paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. In addition to the new petrol powerplant, customers will have the choice to opt for the diesel engine.

The forthcoming Tata Safari facelift promises a refreshed and captivating design, with notable updates to the front fascia, potential inclusion of an illuminated Tata logo, and anticipated improvements in the interior and infotainment system. Enthusiasts can look forward to experiencing enhanced performance with the possibility of a new turbocharged petrol engine alongside the existing diesel powertrain options. As we eagerly await the official launch, it is clear that the 2023 Tata Safari facelift aims to set new benchmarks in the SUV segment, offering a compelling blend of style, innovation, and power.
