Hyundai Motor India has recently launched the sixth-generation Hyundai Verna 2023, making a game-changing moment for the sedan segment in India, particularly the mid-size sedan segment. The latest addition to the mid-size sedan segment now has some very formidable names, including the Honda City 2023, Skoda Slavia and Volkswagen Virtus.

2023 Hyundai Verna Design
The new Verna gets a very ferocious and radical design. It boasts Hyundai’s popular parametric jewel design language with sharp edges and beautiful curves. The coupe-like sloping rear makes the car look all the more sporty.
2023 Hyundai Verna Features
From exteriors to interiors, the 2023 Verna is one feature-loaded mid-size sedan. The dark chrome parametric grille enhances the sportiness of the car to the next level, while the segment-first Horizon LED positioning lamps and LED DRLs, running across the face, make the car look very sharp. The all-black 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels gel with the aggressive stance of the car naturally. At the rear, you get parametric LED taillamps, which are connected by an LED strip.
The interiors of the Verna are no less amazing. You get a segment-first power driver seat, front heated and ventilated seats, and a switchable digital panel for infotainment and climate controller. You have a 10.25-inch HD audio video navigation system, digital cluster with coloured TFT MID and Bose premium sound 8 speaker system. Among other noteworthy features are a wireless charger, electric sunroof and best-in-segment 64 ambient light system. The Bluelink connectivity technology offers over 65 features. There are also 118 embedded voice commands.
The Hyundai Verna 2023 has a spacious cabin with class-leading legroom, knee room, and shoulder room, making it a tough competitor to cars like the Honda City, Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen Virtus, and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. The cabin also comes with premium features for its segment.
Hyundai Verna 2023 Engine Options
There are two engine options available for the 2023 Verna. The first is a 1.5-liter MPi petrol engine that can produce a maximum power of 115PS and a peak torque of 143.8Nm. It can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or an IVT automatic transmission. The second option is a 1.5-liter Turbo GDi petrol engine that can generate a maximum power of 160PS and a peak torque of 253Nm. This engine can be paired with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT. The Verna 1.5 Turbo GDi can accelerate from 0-100kmph in just 8.1 seconds.
In terms of fuel efficiency, the Verna 1.5 MPi MT has a mileage of 18.60kmpl, while the Verna 1.5 MPi IVT has a mileage of 19.60kmpl. The Verna 1.5 Turbo GDi MT and DCT have a mileage of 20kmpl and 20.60kmpl, respectively.
Hyundai Verna 2023 Dimensions
The 2023 Verna measures 4,535mm in length, 1,765mm in width, and 1,475mm in height, with a segment-leading wheelbase of 2,670mm. The boot space can accommodate up to 528 liters of luggage.
All New Hyundai Verna 2023 Safety
Hyundai SmartSense with 17 Level 2 ADAS features is available in the 2023 Verna, making it the third Hyundai model to receive this technology. The ADAS features include forward collision warning, forward collision-avoidance assist, blind spot collision, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, driver attention warning, and safe exit warning. Other available features include smart cruise control with stop and go, lane following assist, high beam assist, leading vehicle departure alert, and rear cross-traffic collision.
