Kia Motors has introduced the much-anticipated Seltos facelift in India, showcasing its prowess with an impressive starting price of Rs 10.90 lakh and reaching up to Rs 19.80 lakh for the top-spec automatic variants. Additionally, there’s the exclusive Seltos X-Line, priced at Rs 20.00 lakh. (All prices ex-showroom, Delhi.)

The Seltos facelift now boasts a class-leading 160hp, 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine, further elevating its performance. In addition, it offers two petrol and one diesel engine option, providing customers with a versatile range of choices.

Continuing the tradition, the Seltos facelift maintains its Tech Line, GT Line, and X-Line trims, each designed to cater to specific customer preferences and needs.

The Seltos facelift comes packed with new features that elevate the driving experience. Among the notable additions are the panoramic sunroof and the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite.

Powertrain, Trims, and Variants

The Seltos facelift maintains its powerful 115hp, 1.5-liter petrol engine, and a 116hp, 1.5-liter turbo-diesel engine under the hood. The former is available with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT, while the latter is offered with a 6-speed iMT and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. An exciting addition is the new 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine that boasts a class-leading 160hp and 253Nm of torque, paired with either a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT gearbox.


The 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine with a manual gearbox is available on the HTE, HTK, HTK+, and the HTX trims, while the iMT gearbox is exclusively offered on the HTX trim. The 1.5-liter diesel engine, on the other hand, comes standard with an iMT gearbox on all Tech Line trims, including HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, and HTX+. For those looking for automatic options, the torque converter automatic is available on the HTX, GTX+, and X-Line trims.

Exterior and Interior Upgrades

The Seltos facelift boasts refreshed front and rear styling, featuring an all-new bumper with a larger grille and redesigned headlights with LED daytime running lamps that extend into the grille. At the rear, new inverted L-shaped tail-lights are connected by an LED light bar, giving the SUV a sportier appearance.

The addition of the Pewter Olive color and a choice of eight other solid colors and two dual-tone options provide customers with a range of personalization. Turbo-petrol trims come with dual exhaust tips, while the GT Line and X Line offer a slightly different body kit and class-leading 18-inch alloys.


Inside the cabin, the Seltos facelift offers significant updates, including the dual 10.25-inch connected screens for infotainment and instrumentation. The redesigned center console now features slimmer AC vents and new HVAC controls, accompanied by more soft-touch materials throughout the cabin. Furthermore, customers can choose from three different color combinations based on their trim selection.

Advanced Features for Safety and Comfort

Kia has equipped the Seltos facelift with advanced safety features, including the ADAS suite, which includes forward collision warning assist, autonomous emergency braking, and lane keep assist. Additionally, six airbags, ESC, hill-start assist, all-wheel disc brakes, TPMS, and three-point seat belts for all passengers with reminders come as standard on all trims.


Other notable features include a 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate control, an 8-inch head-up display, electronic parking brake, rain-sensing wipers, and a premium Bose-tuned 8-speaker system with sound mood lamps, all enhancing the driving and passenger experience.

The Seltos facelift maintains its position as a strong contender in the market, competing against popular models such as the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, MG Astor, Volkswagen Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq.
